Live/wire are sad to announce that Kev 'the roadie' Fairless has passed away. The date for Kev’s service (funeral) is Friday 31st May 2013 at 1.30 pm. The location is Chanterlands Avenue, Hull, in the large Crem building. (there are two buildings !) If any of you out there knew Kev through the band and you wish to come his Daughter Alex has said you'd be most welcome. Kev played a part like others in getting the band to where it is now. His boyish enthusiasm and dedication to the band helped things move forward and he added to the comradery during the travelling up and down the country. Whilst around the band Kev lived in a white logo Live/Wire T shirt and as far as dress code is concerned I’ll be wearing my very own white logo Live/Wire T shirt (Ed). If we could all do the same that would be brilliant as he'll be sent off in one !

Kev had been with the band from the start in Hull and remained with the band until a few years ago when Diabetes got the better of him. During the ten years we shared he carried himself with dignity and he always smiled and had a boyish enthusiam even when his health took a turn for the worse. To Alex and family and friends we're so sorry for your loss, there were so many stories and laughs, I'm sure all the anecdotes will flow and we're lucky that he left us plenty to remember him by. Kev, Bhuna, Roadie, Bless you, Rest in Peace. Ed, Pete, Jon, Daz, Dan, Ash, LIVE/WIRE
The unique six man tribute to rock's greatest band AC/DC, complete with trademark cannons, a wall of Marshalls and two hours of High Voltage Rock and Roll. And in this AC/DC’s fortieth year, the band cover both eras as always with both 'Jon' Bon Scott and 'Pete' Brian Johnson present to take you on the Rock and Roll train for a night to remember. The rhythm section keep it all meticulously together giving Ashgus the freedom to mesmerise the audience with his sublime playing and infinite energy. Those who have seen the show on the ‘For Those About To Rock’ and ‘Ready to Bite’ tours are already witness to the talent and dedication Ash gives on stage with his portrayal of the livewire Angus Young delivering a truly amazing two hours of duck-walking, bedevilled Rock and Roll.
The band aim to put you slap bang in the middle of the show with hit after hit, and for the aficionados there’s always something special as well. Back in Black, Rosie, Highway to hell, the songs go on and on until the cannons fire ceremoniously to bring the evening to a superb crescendo. If by this time you are still standing……..we salute you !!
Get ready for a seismic event in 2013 !

Both the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras of AC/DC are included in the same show, with two very individual singers treading the boards, while the frenzied schoolboy antics of Angus Young are faithfully reproduced. All backed up by a thundering freight train of a rhythm section!
Packing in the classics like 'Whole Lotta Rosie', 'Highway To Hell', 'Thunderstruck' & 'Back In Black' into a 2 hour plus show, Live/Wire also throw in a few surprises for hardcore (and not so hardcore) fans to savour!
