Live/Wire - News - A Message From Grant

Over the last few weeks I have had to make a very difficult decision. The result being that, as from September 1st, I won't be a Live/Wire member any longer.

I have been made an offer from a German AC/DC tribute band, which I just couldn't turn down. This offer means that I get to sing the whole show, something that I have missed doing and as the shows in Germany aren't as prolific, I will get to spend more time with my young son.

Since I joined Live/Wire in June 2006, I've really come to appreciate how professional these guys are and how close they are to the real deal.

On a personal note, I'd like to thank Live/Wire for giving me this opportunity. Being in Live/Wire is like family and I consider Ed, Daz, Jon, Tink & Lorne to be great mates. I will continue to truly value this friendship in the future. Guys, I salute you!

Thanks must also go to our promoter, Mark Shaw, ("Blakey"), who has worked tirelessly with the band to continually raise the bar.

It is said that a band is as only as good as its fans. If that is the case, then Live/Wire is in very safe hands indeed. To all of you that I've met, as well as those that I wasn't lucky enough to meet - your support is unrivalled. Thank you so much!

It's been a personal high to sing in Live/Wire and I know that the band will continue to go from strength to strength. As for the future, I'd always be happy to help out the band, if ever the need arises.
